DOROTHY JO ROBBINS ALEXANDER, age 76, of Murfreesboro, died December 8, 2010. Mrs. Alexander was a native of Denver, Colorado and raised in Boulder, Colorado, and daughter of the late Leslie Frank and Grace Mabel Smith Robbins. A memorial service will be held Saturday at 11:00 AM at St. Pauls Episcopal Church with Rev. Colin Ambrose officiating. Visitation will follow the service in the Parrish Hall. Mrs. Alexander is survived by her husband, Dr. John H. Alexander; daughters, Katheryn Leslie (Joseph) Reeves of Murfreesboro and Karin Alexander (Mark) Bailey of Franklin; and grandsons, Hutchins and Alexander Bailey of Franklin. Mrs. Alexander was a member of St. Pauls Episcopal Church and a retired registered nurse. She attended the University of Colorado School of Nursing where she was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority. Mrs. Alexander was a longtime member of The Murfreesboro Charity Circle and the Stones River Medical Auxiliary. In lieu of flowers, memorials in memory of Mrs. Alexander may be made to Beesley Animal Humane Foundation, Inc, The Murfreesboro Charity Circle, or The Alzheimers Association.
