Doris Jean Simpson, age 88, passed away Saturday, June 13, 2015 from complications with cancer in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Ms. Simpson was born on May 5th, 1927 in Alton, Illinois and was a daughter of Harry and Sarah Schillermann. She was preceded in death by brothers Harry and Raymond Schillermann and a sister, Virginia Eberwein. She is survived by her children, Cheryl Moore and Barbara Sutton; grandchildren, Edwin Schlottach, Nathan Lammey, Wade Sutton, Jr. (Rashmi), Frank Sutton, and Sarah Sutton Osborne (Clay); and great grandchildren, Madison Lammey, Penelope Sutton, and George Sutton. She was a retired Interior Designer who owned her own company in Denver, Colorado. In retirement she enjoyed painting, knitting, sewing, and was devoted to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, June 30th at 11:00 am at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Murfreesboro. The Rev. James K. Polk Van Zandt will officiate. Visitation with the family will be held prior to the service from 10:00 am - 11:00 am in the Parish Hall.
