Doris Schilling, age 82 of Murfreesboro, died Friday at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital. She was a native of Eagleville and a daughter of the late Robert and Molly Lynch Vaughn. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Howard and James Vaughn.

Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Melvin Schilling; a daughter, Lisa Dill and husband Danny of Lascassas; grandchildren, Autumn Nakkula and husband Jeff of Colorado Springs, CO, Katie Farmer and husband Josh of Murfreesboro; great grandchildren, Isaac and Ella Nakkula, Andrew and Wyatt Farmer; sisters, Mary Mankin and husband Weck and Peggy Jewell, all of Murfreesboro; and a brother, Billy Vaughn of Rockvale, as well as several nieces, nephews, and other loving family.

Mrs. Schilling was a member of Temple Baptist Church and retired from Murfreesboro Drug Center.

Per her request, a private family graveside service will be held in Evergreen Cemetery with Bro. Sam Epley officiating.
