Mrs. Doris Jane Picklesimer, age 81, of Murfreesboro, Tn. died Saturday March 21, 2009 at Middle Tennessee Medical Center. She was born in Hollywood, Georgia and was the daughter of the late Ethan & Icie Mae Franklin She is survived by her sons; Michael Picklesimer and his wife Annette of Murfreesboro, Steven Picklesimer and his wife, Kimberly of Murfreesboro, David Picklesimer and his wife, Sharon of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Derek (Carrie) Picklesimer, Lora, Sean, Joshua, Ethan and Stephanie Picklesimer; brothers, Walter Franklin of Shelbyville, E. J. Franklin of Tullahoma; sister, Edith Winland of Tullahoma. Funeral services will be at 10:30 am Wednesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Rev. Steve Goforth and Chris Sale officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be 4-8 pm Tuesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Mrs. Picklesimer was married to the late Gilford Glen Picklesimer who died on December 4, 2006. They were married on March 21, 1952. She was also preceded in death by her grandsons, Justin and Jordan Picklesimer. Mrs. Picklesimer was a member of Fair Havens Independent Baptist Church.
