DORIS MOORE DUGGIN, age 79, died at home Wednesday, January 28, 2009. She was born January 21, 1930, in Lincoln County, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard A. and Edith B. Moore, her husband, Charlie H. Duggin, Jr., her son, James Richard Duggin, and her brother, Roddy L. Moore. She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl (John) Baer of Smyrna, granddaughters, Amy E. Baer and Melissa D. Baer, both of Smyrna, and Wanda (Garry) Beard of Williamsport, great grandson, Ryan Beard, sister, Pat Smith of Fayetteville, brother, Howard A. (Dottie) Moore of Smyrna, sisters-in-law, Nancy B. Moore of Murfreesboro, Hazel (Raymond) Tarpley of Murfreesboro, Emma Jean (Mack) Haley of Manchester, and Dorothy Duggin of Memphis, special cousin, Alice Harman of N. Charleston, SC, and many dear friends and relatives. Mrs. Doris was an active member of LaVergne First Baptist Church, where she was a member of Joy Sunday School Class and Livewires Senior Group. She was retired from Metro Davidson County, where she was a School Food Service Field Manager. She was a devoted wife to her late husband of almost 56 years, a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, and dear friend to many. She always greeted people with a big smile and a kind heart, and will be missed by all who knew her. Pallbearers will be special family members and friends.
