Doris Dalby, age 91 of Murfreesboro, TN died April 3, 2012. She was a resident of AdamsPlace in Murfreesboro and was the daughter of the late, Sam and Nettie Mullikin Jared. Mrs. Dalby was also preceded in death by her husband, Maurice John Dalby, daughters, Sherry Dalby, and Judy Labonte. Mrs. Dalby was a member of St. Pauls Episcopal Church, and a 1942 graduate of Vanderbilt University where she majored in English Literature, and was a member of the Tri Delta Sorority, after graduation she worked for the U.S. Department of Navy. She is survived by her son, Robert Jared Dalby, Sr. and his wife Carolyn of New Jersey, sister, Beth Becker of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Robert Jared Dalby, Jr. and John Dalby of Califorinia, Lauren and Morgan Labonte of Maine. In lieu flowers memorials may be made in memory of Mrs. Dalby to the Alzheimer Association. Funeral service will be 2:00PM Saturday at St. Pauls Episcopal Church with Father Colin Ambrose officiating. Inurnment will follow at the church.
