DORCAS NAOMI ELLIS age 89 of Murfreesboro, TN, died Sunday December 20, 2009. A native of Baxter, TN, she was the daughter of the late Vance and Mattie Elizabeth Shoemake Stoutt. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Shirley and Charlie Smith, of Murfreesboro, TN; brother, Vance Stoutt, Jr., of Aiken, SC; grandchildren, Stacy Fields and Justin Smith, and four great-grandchildren, Parker and Ellie Fields, and Caroline and Kate Smith, all of Murfreesboro, TN. Mrs. Ellis was also preceded in death by her husband, William Littleton Ellis, Jr., and by six sisters. Funeral services will be 11:00AM Wednesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Dr. Dean Sisk officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Ellis was a member of the Hobson Pike Baptist Church and was a homemaker. In lieu of flowers, memorials in memory of Mrs. Ellis may be made to the Bible Study Fellowship International, 19001 Huebner Road, San Antonio, TX 78258-4019 or the Dean and Judy Sisk Seminary Scholarship Fund at Belle Aire Baptist Church. Pallbearers will be Lyndell Parks, Mike Smith, Neal Smith, Terry Cothran, Bob Gardner, and Jimmy Boggess.
