Donald "Don" Lane, age 78, of Smyrna, TN, passed away Sunday, September 23, 2018. A native of Lenoir City, TN, he was the son of the late Samuel "Sam" and Florence Tennessee Stevens Lane.

He is survived by his loving wife, Shirley Lee Lane; son, Rodney (Valerie Ann Middleton Lane; grandchildren, Matthew Ryan (Kelly) Lane, Jessica Erin (Josh) Eckols, and Christina Doering; great grandchildren, Tabitha, Abigail, Mary Hagen, Lilly, Victoria, Aiden, Michael, Arianna, and Jamison; niece, Carol Dirca; and nephew, Roy (Bobbi) Booth.

Mr. Lane was a member of the Church of God. He was a retired engineer with Lucient Technology. He cherished the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He will be greatly missed by his family.
