Donald Ray "Donnie" Knipfer, age 57 passed away Monday, October 28, 2013. He was a native of Davidson County and was preceded in death by his son and the light of his life, Donald Ray Knipfer, Jr "Little Donnie"; his brother, Alvin Odell Hedgecoth, II; and his father, Robert Donald Knipfer. He is survived by his wife, Linda; mother, Alma Lorene Allen Anderson (Donald) of Smyrna; brother, Timmy Hedgecoth (Kim) of LaVergne; sister, Cheryl Flanagan of San Antonio, TX; numerous step brothers and step sisters; and dear friend, Elizabeth. Left behind is also a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and devoted friends. Donnie loved his family and friends deeply and enjoyed many hobbies. He was an avid learner of new technologies, cars, computers and animals. Visitation with family will be from 5:30 until 7:30pm Wednesday at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna. Funeral service will be 2:00pm Friday at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna with burial following at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
