Don Edmond Phillips, Sr.

Mr. Don Edmond Phillips, Sr., age 87, of Murfreesboro, TN, finished his earthy race Saturday, August 15, 2026. Born in Blue Diamond, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Joseph and Alice Phillips. He is also preceded in death by his son Don Phillips, Jr.

Don is survived by his loving wife Marie; daughters, Monica Schmelter and her husband Joseph Schmelter Jr., Donna Johnson and her husband Scott Johnson, Sr.; grandchildren, Joseph (Ingrid Bergman Silva) Schmelter, III, Elyse (Michael Metz) Johnson, and Scott Johnson, Jr.; and one great-granddaughter Rihanna.

Don was a devoted member of Northside Baptist Church. He loved music, woodworking and family gatherings.

Visitation with the family will be held at Northside Baptist Church on Friday, August 21, 2026, at 10:00 AM until the service at 11:00 AM with Pastor David Bramble officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
