Derwood Johnson age 81 of Readyville, passed away Wednesday April 22, 2015. A native of Cannon County, he was the son of the late Robert and Ella Mae Ferrell Johnson. He is also preceded in death by a son; Dennis Johnson, a sister; Mary Ann Cluck and brothers; Jim H. Johnson, Elmer Ray Johnson, Albert W. Johnson and Robert Johnson. Mr. Johnson is survived by son; Doug Johnson of Illinois, sister; Ruby Vaught of Murfreesboro, brothers; Teemus Johnson and his wife JoAnn of Smithville, Roy Johnson and his wife Pat of Sophia West Virginia, Jesse Johnson and his wife Dolores of Chugwater, Wyoming and Barrett Johnson and his wife Claudine of Readyville. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Mr. Johnson was a Veteran of the United States Marines Corp serving in the Korean War. Visitation will be 4:00pm until 8:00pm Friday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Funeral service will be 10:00am Saturday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Ronnie Case officiating.
