Dennis G. Neely, age 59 of Smyrna, died Monday at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Baltimore, MD and was a United States Army Veteran and a welder with the Iron Workers Local 492 for 27 years. Mr. Neely was preceded in death by his father, Dennis D. Neely; a son, David Glenn Neely; and a brother, Cliff Neely. Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Sandra Neely; a son, Joshua D. Neely and wife Laurin; a daughter, Jessica Quinlan and husband Steven, all of Smyrna; his mother, Bonnie King of Alcoa, TN; three grandchildren, McKenzie and Sarah Neely, and Tyler Quinlan; a sister, Rita Davis and husband Howard of North Carolina; a brother, Jeff Walker of Sevierville, TN; an aunt, Trudy Perry and husband Tom of Ohio; several nieces, nephews, and other loving family. Visitation will be Saturday, September, 26, 2015 from 2:00pm until the time of memorial services beginning at 4:00pm at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna with Roger Comstock officiating.
