Dennis Cleo Hixson

Mr. Dennis Cleo Hixson, age 81, passed away on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at his home. Funeral service for Mr. Hixson will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. in the Kenton Chapel of Karnes and Son Funeral Home with Dr. Charles Pratt officiating. Interment will follow in the Sunnyside Cemetery in Kenton, Tennessee. Visitation for Mr. Hixson will be held on Friday, June 19, 2026, from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Woodfin Funeral Chapel in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. There will be a visitation from 12:00 noon until service time at 3:00 p.m. in the Kenton Chapel of Karnes and Son Funeral Home on Saturday, June 20, 2026.

Dennis Cleo Hixson was born in Detroit, Michigan on February 24, 1945, to the late Noah Cleo Hixson and Kathryn Jordan Workman. Dennis was a retired Plant Manager for Nicholstone Book Bindery after 23 years of service. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

Dennis is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Regena Hixson; three children, Kristi Graves (Mike), Brett Hixson, and Shane Hixson; grandchildren, Orion Fox, Bryan Fox, Brittney Hixson, Colby Hixson; great-grandchildren, Serenity Fox, Preslee Gentry, Peyton Fox, Olivia Fox, Elliott Fox, Saylor Gentry, Keilani Hixson, Cooper Fox, Clayton Gentry, Crimson Hixson, Mason Fox; one sister, Pam Foster; and two brothers, Woodrow Workman Jr. and Tim Workman.

Dennis was preceded in death by his father, Noah C. Hixson, his mother and stepfather, Kathryn and Woodrow Workman Sr., and grandson, Jon Michael Fox.
