Denise MacLean, age 59, of Smyrna, TN passed away Thursday, September 12, 2013. Funeral services will be Monday at 1:00PM at Woodfin Chapel in Smyrna. Brother Ron Caldwell will officiate. Burial will follow in Mapleview Cemetery. Mrs. MacLean is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Art MacLean of Smyrna; son, Nathan MacLean and his wife Kelly; daughter, Jamie Bercich and her husband Pete; granddaughter, Ella MacLean, all of Murfreesboro; and sister, Debbie Winczner and her husband Bill of MI. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Jean Crews Quamby. Mrs. MacLean was a native of Detroit, MI and a longtime resident of Smyrna. She was a former pre-school teacher with First United Methodist Church in Smyrna. Mrs. MacLean enjoyed arts and crafts, cooking, gardening and holidays, especially Thanksgiving and Christmas. She was a proud grandmother and loved her family very much. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Visitation with the family will be Sunday from 2:00PM to 6:00PM at Woodfin Chapel in Smyrna.
