Denise Antoinnette Dawson, age 59, of Murfreesboro, TN died unexpectedly Sunday September 3, 2023, at her home. She was born in Corpus Christi, TX and lived most of her life in Tennessee. For 27 years, she worked as a paralegal for Dix and Associates in Murfreesboro, TN.

Mrs. Dawson was saved on a Friday night in her bed at the age of 11. She was baptized into Greenfield Missionary Baptist Church, in Greenbrier TN, by Elder Thomas Shoemake. At the time of her death, she was a member of Greenfield Missionary Baptist Church, but was attending Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Manchester, where her husband is the pastor.

Mrs. Dawson was a devoted pastor's wife, loving mother, daughter, sister, and "Nonnie" to her two grandboys. She took her job as a grandmother very seriously. Briley and Daniel frequented her house for "Nonnie time" sleepovers, including games of hide-and-seek, late night movies, and special meals by their request.

Mrs. Dawson is survived by her husband of 40 years, Bruce Dawson; sons, Adam Dawson and wife Carolyn, Alexander Dawson; grandchildren, James Briley Dawson, Joshua Daniel Dawson; parents, James Shoulders, and Betty Sue Shoulders; sister, Mechelle Vaughn.

Visitation will be 12Noon until 8:00PM Friday, and Saturday 10:00AM until 11:00AM Saturday at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna. Funeral service will be 11:00AM Saturday at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna. Elder Benny Snoddy and Elder Frank Kirby will officiate. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. www.woodfinchapel.com
