Dene Branham McCullough, passed away August 18, 2018.  Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at11:00 AM at First Baptist Church of Murfreesboro with Rev. Dr. Noel Schoonmaker officiating.  The family will receive friends following the service in the First Baptist Church Welcome Center.

Mrs. McCullough was born on September 13, 1930, in Lebanon, Tennesee.  She is preceded in death by her parents Myrtle Johnson Branham and Joseph Brown Branham.  She is survived by her husband Hubert Laws McCullough, Jr.; her children Carroll McCullough O'Brien and her husband Kerry, Margaret McCullough May and her husband Warren, H. Laws "Brother" McCullough III and his wife Stacey; her siblings Betty Branham Ward, Norvel Rhea Branham, Dr. Gerald Brown Branham, Margaret Branham Hereford and John Parker Branham; her grandchildren Louis LeGarde Battey III and his wife Keller, Emily May Koster and her husband Reid, Warren Hamilton May Jr., Kerry McCullough "Mac" O'Brien and Hubert Laws "HL" McCullough.

Dene attended Cumberland University and Middle Tennessee State College.  She was a lifetime member of Charity Circle of Murfreesboro, a member of the Rutherford Hospital Auxiliary, and served on multiple committees at First Baptist Church.  Her many interests included gardening, bridge, philanthropy, and travel.  She was a gracious hostess with a warm wit and an easy charm.

The McCullough family extends its heartfelt thanks to the staff of The Health Center at Adams Place and Caris Healthcare for their devoted service while comforting Dene in the final stages of her life.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Special Kids Therapy & Nursing Center or First Baptist Church.
