DeLoris Harrell Mansfield, 83, of Murfreesboro died November 22, 2013 at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital. DeLoris was born October 4,1930 in Rutherford County. She was the daughter of Claiborne J. and Flossie McCarroll Harrell. Deloris was know to her family and friends as "Doey". Deloris was a 1948 graduate of Kittrell High School, where she was crowned Miss Kittrell. DeLoris was a member of the Episcopal Church. She loved flowers and gardening. She was an active member of the flower guild at her church and St. Mary's City (MD) Garden Club until her health prevented her participation. She was preceded in death by her husband Irving H. Mansfield, her parents, sisters Mary Stroop, Clara Lehew and Linda Smith, and brother Claiborne (Buddy) Harrell. She is survived by a son, Garner Bennett and wife Claire of Alexandria, VA, and a daughter Amy Connifey-Marlin and husband Joe Marlin of Murfreesboro; three grandchildren, Sarah Connifey of Murfreesboro, Emily Bennett and Nicholas Bennett of Alexandria, VA; and sisters Darthy Hannigan of Longview, Tx and Nancy Hurst of Nashville. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4:00-8:00 PM at Woodfin Memorial Chapel in Murfreesboro. A celebration of life will be 11:30 AM Wednesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.
