Delbert Eugene Lester of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on December 23, 2021 at the age of 83.  Proceeded in death by his parents and brother Alvin Lester.   Delbert was born June 5, 1938, in San Bernardino, California to Charlie Thomas Lester and Frances Bryan Lester.

Delbert graduated  from Campus School in 1952 and Central High School in 1956.  He retired from the US Postal Service after 34 years in 1992.  He was a member of the Hill View Baptist Church.

He survived by his loving wife Betty Alexander Lester of 62 years; sister, Faye Lester; son, Mark Lester and his wife Susan; daughter, Debra Holman and her husband  Robert Holman Jr; five grandchildren: "Rob"ert Holman III, Matthew Holman, Rachel Lester, Charlie Lester, and Campbell Lester.

A private graveside service will be held on January 2, 2022.
