Dean Yerkey, age 55, of Maryville, TN passed away Tuesday, June8, 2021. He was born in Norfolk, VA to the late Brooks and Lottie Belle Yerkey. Dean worked for Capital City Bolt & Screw Co., Inc. for eight years. He enjoyed music, football, softball, fishing, thrift shopping, flea markets, Chinese food, and spending time with family and friends. Dean had such an outgoing personality and was a stranger to no one. He loved making people laugh and his smile was contagious. Dean loved all his siblings and will be dearly missed. He will never be forgotten and will always be loved.

Dean is survived by his children, Cameron White, Briana White, and Brittany White; siblings, Linda Diane Yerkey Lane, Howard Lee Yerkey and his wife Heather, Steven Ray Yerkey and his wife Beth, and Cindy Joe Yerkey Fox; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Rhonda Sue Yerkey McCollum and Patricia Irene Yerkey Smith.

The family would like to thank the nurses and doctors at UT Medical Center for their care of Dean.

Visitation with the family will be Sunday, June 13, 2021 from 2:00pm until 3:00pm at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna. A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, June 13, 2021 at 3:00pm at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna. A reception will follow Sunday, June 13, 2021 from 4:00pm until 7:00pm at Hilltop Rosenwald Park.
