Dawes O. Patton, age 87 of Murfreesboro, TN, passed away Tuesday September 8, 2015. A native of Crossville, TN, he was the son of the late Martin and Lizzie Patton. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Bessie Hinds Patton. Mr. Patton is survived by his daughters, Tammy Bond and her husband Johnny and Penny Canada and her husband Gary all of Murfreesboro, TN; grandchildren, Justin Bond of Nashville, TN and Brandy Canada of Johnson City, TN; great-grandchild, Braelin Canada of Johnson City, TN. Visitation will be Thursday from 10:00 AM until the service time at 12:00 noon at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna. Blaine Goins will officiate. Graveside service will be 11:00 AM Friday at Green Acres Memory Gardens, Crossville, TN with full military honors. Mr. Patton was retired from the US Air Force after 28 years of service.
