David Ray Yates, Jr., 37 a resident of Brunswick, died Sunday at his residence in Brunswick, GA. Mr. Yates was a native of Smyrna, TN and had been a resident of Brunswick for the past 16 years. David was a Deputy Sheriff with the Glynn County Sheriff Department for the past 15 years. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lucille A. Yates. Survivors are his wife, Heidi Nicole Yates of Brunswick, two sons, Matthew Yates and Wyatt Yates, two daughters, MacKenzie Yates and Whitney Yates all of Brunswick, his parents, David and Ester Yates, Sr. of Wartrace, TN, brother, Nick Yates (Brandy) of Christiana, TN, grandfather, Mike Anderjack of Manchester, TN and Raymond Dyer of Nashville, TN, two nieces, Addison and Alyssa Yates of Christiana, TN. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Friday September 16, 2011 at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with interment to follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
