David Guyce LeDoux, 83, of Woodbury died Tuesday at MTMC. Mr. LeDoux was a native of Church Point, La., and was the son of the late Edmund and Lillie Merritt LeDoux. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Mr. LeDoux will be eulogized by his former students. Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday at the McClain Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant, Tenn. Father Tom Wilson will officiate. Mr. LeDoux was Professor Emeritus in the MTSU Art Department. He was a graduate of Louisiana College and Louisiana State University. He did doctoral work at Ohio State University. He was a painter who came to Murfreesboro in 1956 to teach drawing and painting in the Art Department at MTSU. He retired in 1994 after 38 years. Mr. LeDoux was a Naval Aviator and a veteran of WWII. Survivors include his wife, Pat McClain Denton LeDoux; son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Paul and Ann LeDoux of Murfreesboro; daughter, Patricia LeDoux Crichton of Murfreesboro, daughter and son-in-law Jeanne LeDoux Altstatt and Marvin Altstatt of Smyrna; two step-daughters, Leilani Denton Spigolon of Atlanta, and Jennifer Denton Wilson of Kazahkstan; former wife, Edna Watkins LeDoux; nine grandchildren, Russell Crichton, David LeDoux, Dylan LeDoux, Weston LeDoux, Mary LeDoux, Anna LeDoux, Kate Spigolon, Scott Spigolon, and Abby Wilson.
