David Ronald Heiar, age 65 of Murfreesboro, TN, passed away Tuesday March 1, 2016. A native of Wauzeka, WI, he was preceded in death by his father, Robert Ardell Heiar.
Mr. Heiar is survived by his wife, Margaret "Margie" Hayden Heiar; mother, Elaine Elizabeth Brown Heiar of Prairie du Chien, WI; four children; five step-children, Ray Maynard of Louisville, KY, Tammy Johnston of Mt. Juliet, TN, Greg Holloman and his wife Elaine of Rockvale, TN, Melissa Sobel and her husband Aaron of Katy, TX, and Amy Chambers of Murfreesboro, TN; brothers, Bill Heiar and his wife Brenda of Round Rock, TX, Jim Heiar and his wife Diane of Richland Center, WI, and Greg Heiar and his wife Vicky of Berlin, WI; sister, Judy Reuter and her husband Rocky of Westerville, OH; 19 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with a Rosary at 7:00 PM.
Funeral mass will be 10:00 AM Friday at St. Luke Catholic Church with Rev. Stephen F. Brett and Rev. Jacob Dio officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery with Paul McLean, Bob Lambert, Dan Holden, Joe Irrera, Jimmy Johnston, Tom Galbierz, Sam Francescon, and Ed Gale serving as pallbearers, all of whom are members of his weekly Cursillo groups.
Mr. Heiar was a member St. Luke Catholic Church, St. Rose Catholic Church, and retired from the US Food and Drug Administration as a Consumer Safety Officer.
Memorials may be made to St. Luke Catholic Church building fund or to the St. Joseph Fund at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital in memory of Mr. Heiar.
