David Lee Gray, Sr. , age 72 of Brush Creek, TN, passed away Tuesday September 26, 2017. A native of Ridley Park, PA, he was the son of the late Harold Edward and Mildred Dorothy Haas Gray. He was also preceded in death by a brother, William Edward Gray.

Mr. Gray is survived by his wife of 52 years, Hope Gray; sons David Lee Gray, Jr. and his wife Jackie of Hixson, TN and Brant Wesley Gray and his wife Angela of Phoenix, AZ; daughter, Cheryl Logalbo and her husband David of Brush Creek, TN; brother, George Robert Gray of Tucson, AZ; and 11 grandchildren. Mr. Gray was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother.

Funeral service will be 4:00 PM Saturday at Abiding Faith Lutheran Church, Smyrna, TN with Pastor Keith Schleis officiating. Visitation will be Saturday from 2:00 PM until the 4:00 PM service at the church. Burial will be in the Brush Creek Cemetery at a later date.

Mr. Gray was President of the church council and a faithful member of the Abiding Faith Lutheran Church. He was also retired from the Kennedy Space Center as Space Shuttle Advanced Systems Technician Lead.

Mr. Gray achieved many accomplishments throughout his life including draftsman, general foreman, private pilot license, A & P license, seaplane rating, and an excellent marksman. He enjoyed many hobbies which included horseback riding, scuba diving, and aviation.
