David Gilliam age 49 of Alexandria, TN, passed away Sunday February 17, 2013 at his home after a lengthy battle with cancer. He was a native of Hendersonville, NC and the son of Gene Gilliam and the late Sally Anders Gilliam. Mr. Gilliam was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church in Zirconia, NC. and was a production engineering manager at Permobile. He previously was operations manager of Dura Automotive in Carthage, TN. Mr. Gilliam is survived by his partner Harry Bean of Alexandria, TN; his father and step-mother, Gene and Ann Gilliam; brother, Doug Gilliam and his wife Cathy; a sister, Renee Nolen and her husband Neal all of Hendersonville, NC; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and a host of loving family and friends. Local services will be 7:00 PM Wednesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with visitation from 4:00 PM until time of the service beginning at 7:00 PM. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, February 23, 2013 at Zion Hill Baptist Church with Reverend Blair Stewart and Reverend Roy Perry officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Friday, February 22, 2013 from 6:00PM until 8:00 PM at the Thomas Shepherd and Sons Funeral Homein Hendersonville, North Carolina.
