David "Joey" Copeland, age 53, of Anitoch passed away on Thursday, June 26, 2014. He was a native of Davidson County. He was preceded in death by his sister, Terri Ann Copeland. Funeral service will be 6:00pm Monday at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna. Bro. Danny Everette will officiate. He is survived by his fiancé, Gwen Waddell, parents, Rev. Roy and Dorothy Hibdon Copeland, Sr., sons, Joseph and Micah Copeland, all of Nashville, daughter, Angel Norman and her husband Michael of Smyrna, brothers, Roy Copeland, Jr. and his wife Cori of Mt. Juliet, Mark Copeland and his wife Kim, sister, Vicki Hornsby and her husband Bill, all of Lebanon, two grandchildren, Nicholas and Julia Norman and a multitude of friends. Mr. Copeland was a member of East Nashville General Baptist Church and a warehouse shipping manager. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society in his memory.
