DAVID LEWIS CLAYBROOKE, age 66, of Murfreesboro, Tennessee died December 12, 2008 at St. Thomas Hospital. He was born in Maysville, Kentucky. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Cheri Strode Claybrooke; daughters, Amy Claybrooke Vinson and her husband, Jim of Milton; Emily Claybrooke Jenkins and her husband, David of Chattanooga; mother, Mary Yancey Claybrooke of Hendersonville, Tennessee; sister, Barbara Claybrooke Harover and her husband, Pierce of Hendersonville; three grandchildren, Luke Vinson, Cale Vinson and Harper Jenkins. Funeral services will be at 1 pm Monday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Michael OBannon officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery with full military honors. Visitation with the family will be 4-6 pm Sunday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Mr. Claybrooke was a veteran of the United States Air Force, a member of the First United Methodist Church, a 1973 graduate of Middle Tennessee State University and recently retired from Ozburn-Hessey Logistics of Nashville after 38 years of service. He was a former member and Past President of the Murfreesboro Evening Exchange Club with 17 years of faithful service. He was an avid University of Kentucky Wildcat Basketball Fan.
