David Wayne Bubba Johnson, Sr. age 57, of LaVergne, TN, died Sunday March 11, 2012 at his home. A native of Williamson County, he was the son of Betty Jean Crockett Johnson of College Grove, TN and the late Raymond David Johnson. Mr. Johnson, is survived by his wife of 32 years, Mary Ann McGlasson Johnson; daughter, Sheila Ann Johnson of LaVergne, TN; son, David Wayne Little Bubba Johnson, Jr. and his wife Sherry Nicole Johnson of LaVergne, TN; grandchildren, David Wayne Baby Bubba Johnson III, Derek Wade, and Lindsay Nicole Johnson; Mother, Betty Jean Crockett Johnson of College Grove, TN; brother, Mark Johnson of Chapel Hill, TN; sisters, Judy Sissy Ladd of College Grove, TN, Ann Johnson Thoni of Franklin, TN, and Terri Hayes of Shelby, NC. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Thursday at Woodfin Funeral Chapel, Smyrna with Rev. Milton Hicks officiating. Burial will follow in Mapleview Cemetery with family and friends and also the church family of Living Springs Baptist Church serving as pallbearers. Mr. Johnson was a member of Living Springs Baptist Church and a truck driver with USF Holland Truck Lines. He was also a US Army veteran.
