Dana Renee Smith, age 42 of Murfreesboro, passed away on August 1, 2016. She was a native of Davidson County and was preceded in death by her father, Ernest Dean Smith, Sr.

She is survived by her mother, Betty Jean Day Smith, daughter, Emily Rose Smith, both of Murfreesboro, brothers, Ernest Dean Smith, Jr. and his wife Debra of Greenbrier, Chip Alan Smith and his wife Norma of Murfreesboro and five loving nephews.

Dana graduated from the University of Phoenix with a Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Management and worked as a manager in the healthcare industry.

A celebration of her life will be 4:00pm Saturday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Michael Richardson will officiate.
