Dan Thompson Holden, age 82, went to be with his lord June 2, 2014. He was a native of Murfreesboro and son of the late Cecil W. and Isla Thompson Holden. Mr. Holden is survived by his wife of 52 years Mary Virginia Harris Holden; two sons, Dan T. Holden Jr. and his wife Kelly of Dallas, TX and Randy W. Holden of Murfreesboro; two grandsons, Thompson and Harris Holden. Graveside services will be 2:00PM Friday at Roselawn Memorial Garden. Brother Charles Mullins will officiate. Visitation will be Friday from 12:00PM to 1:30PM Friday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Mr. Holden was a member of North Boulevard Church of Christ. He attended training school, was a 1950 graduate of Central High School and attended MTSU. Mr. Holden served in the United States Army and the Tennessee National Guard. He was a former employee at Samsonite and retired as a sales supervisor for Olan Mills. Mr. Holden loved flying and was a former crop duster. He was a life member of the Moose Lodge #645. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
