Dakota James "DJ" Lashley, age 20 passed away on May 30th, 2019 at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville, TN. He was raised in Zanesville, OH., until 2009 when he moved to Smyrna, TN. Dakota was a loving son, brother, father, grandson, nephew, uncle and friend.
He was preceded in death by his great grandparents: Melvin and Virginia Fowler, Rudolph and Dovie Ross. His grandmother, Patricia A (Ross) Neal and his great niece, Tiffany Marie Wisecarver.

Dakota is survived by his mother, (Karen) Denise Fowler Sims of Murfreesboro, TN, his sister, Ashley A Shaw of New Concord, OH; brother, Nicholas (Nick) Shaw of Zanesville, OH. His grandfather Doyle Fowler of Estill Springs, TN., two sons, Andrew James Duenas and Ashtyn James Lashley. His girlfriend Camyrn White of Smyrna; three aunts and uncles, Barry & Donna (Fowler) Wisecarver of Frazeysburg, OH., Elmer & Rena (Fowler) Drabik of Zanesville, OH., Dennis & Tammy (Fowler) Wells of Longview, TX. , He was a proud uncle to five nephew and nieces Austin Matthew Webb, Montana Rhae Webb, Alex Lee Webb, Morgan LeeAnn Webb and Ava Marie Webb from New Concord, OH.
