May 18, 1940 – July 13, 2017
CW Williams, age 77, of Rockvale, TN, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 13, 2017. A native of Nolensville, TN, he was preceded in death by his parents, W.C. and Alice Smith Williams; brothers, Grady and Paul Williams; and a sister, Betty Lou Timbs.
Funeral Services will be Sunday at 5:00 p.m. at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Brother Bob O'Dell will officiate. Burial will be in Burns Cemetery.
Mr. Williams is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Linda Burns Williams; daughter, Dwinna Vance and her husband Mike of Woodbury, TN; son, Kyle Williams and his wife Loura of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Camden and Ben Williams of Murfeesboro; sister, Alice Calloway and her husband Cal of Murfreesboro; and sisters-in-law, Barbara and Juantia Williams.
CW was the owner of Williams United Realty, in Smyrna. During this time he was honored by citizens of Rutherford County receiving the Ruthie Award. In 1988, the Rutherford County Board of Realtors selected him as Realtor of the Year. The year before, he served as the President of the Board of Realtors. He held other board positions during his time a Realtor. In 1990, he was recognized for his dedication and service and inducted into the prestigious Realtor Honor Society.
He was dedicated to Rockvale Church of God. During this time he served as Board of Trustees, and was dedicated to building a strong church and community. He lived life as a Christian, by his words and more importantly, by his actions.
During his leisure time he enjoyed maintaining a meticulous yard, croquet and Rook and his creating his delicious homemade ice cream.
He especially enjoyed spending time with his spirited grandson's, antiquing with his wife and selling their treasures at the Nashville Flea Market.
Nephews will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be the men of Rockvale Church of God.
Memorials in memory of Mr. Williams can be made to Rockvale Church of God.
Visitation will be Saturday from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.
