Obituary

Curtis V. Bromley, age 94 of Murfreesboro, TN died Tuesday, September 11, 2012. A native of Georgetown, IL he was the son of the late James Kenneth Bromley and Lillian Tanner Bromley. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Mary Robinson and brothers, James, George, Delbert and Jim Bromley. A memorial service will be held Saturday at 12:00 Noon at the First Presbyterian Church in Murfreesboro. Reverend John Hinkle will officiate. Visitation will follow the memorial service. Mr. Bromley is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Barbara Rhodehouse Bromley; sons, Kevin Bromley of Murfreesboro and Chris Bromley of Wrightsville Beach, NC; grandson, Van Bromley of Wrightsville Beach, NC; sister-in-law, Lonnie Balaban and her husband John of Raleigh, NC along with several nieces and nephews. Mr. Bromley was a 50 year member of the First Presbyterian Church where he served on the Board of Deacons and Vestry. He joined the Air Force and served in the European Theatre during World War II. Mr. Bromley received his bachelors degree from Illinois Wesleyan University. He retired after 35 years as an accounting manager with State Farm Insurance in 1985. Mr. Bromley loved spending time with his family and enjoyed playing golf. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Alzheimer's Association (4825 Trousdale Dr., Ste 220 Nashville, TN 37220) or to the First Presbyterian Church (210 N.
