COY (JEFF) HASKELL JEFFERS, age 61, of Murfreesboro, Tn. died Sunday, November 9, 2008 at his home. He was born in Greene County, Tennessee and was the son of the late Coy Benton & Ruby Ella Bailey Jeffers. He is survived by his loving wife, Evelyn Pearson Jeffers; sons, Christopher James Jeffers and Jonathan Miles Jeffers of Murfreesboro; sister, Carol Ann Garber of Jonesborough, Tn.; brothers, Ronnie Benton (Jeannie) Jeffers of Midway, Tn. and Gayle Lynn (Judy) Jeffers of Johnson City, Tn.; step brother, Eddie Feezell of Greeneville, Tn.; step sister, Trixie (Danny) Feezell Greene of Greeneville, Tn.; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Visitation with the family will be from 4-7 pm Monday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will be at 10 am Tuesday at the LightHouse Baptist Church, 3149 Thompson Lane, Murfreesboro, Tn. with Rev. Charles Ray and Rev. Bill Calkin officiating. He then will be transported to the Jeffers Mortuary in Greeneville, Tn. where visitation will be 6-8 pm on Wednesday. Services 2 pm Thursday at the Jeffers Mortuary. Burial with full military rites at the Graceland Cemetery in Greeneville, Tn. Mr. Jeffers attended the LightHouse Baptist Church, was retired from the United States Marines Corp and was a former truck driver. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Jessica Lynne Jeffers, and his step mother, Katherine Feezell Jeffers. Active pallbearers in Murfreesboro will be Norm Nichols, Mike Holbrook, Tom Childers, Bobby Branch and Bob Baker.
