Corrine Wilson Whitworth, age 84, died Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at Middle Tennessee Medical Center. Mrs. Whitworth was a native of Rutherford County and was the daughter of the late Henry L. and Celestine Gum Wilson. She was preceded in death by her husband, John G. Whitworth who died in 1994. Funeral services will be 11:00AM Friday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Jeff Adcock will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Mrs. Whitworth is survived by two daughters Pamela Whitworth of Murfreesboro, and Judith Violette and her husband Roger of Murfreesboro, two sisters Sara Duke of Murfreesboro, and Ruth Ragland of Nashville. Grandchildren Ronnie Ralston and his wife Annie, Jonathan Ralston and his wife Jana, and Julie Shew Burnum and her husband Thomas, Great Grandchildren Tyler, John, and Caleb Ralston, Lane and Ethan Burnum. Mrs. Whitworth was a member of Mars Hill Church of Christ. She was a 1945 graduate of Murfreesboro Central High School and retired from State Farm Insurance Co. Pallbearers will be Bob Jones, Gale Wilson, Marvin and Thurman Whitworth, and Charles and Don Perry. Visitation will be from 4:00 until 8:00 Thursday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.
