Conway Birrell, age 83 of Murfreesboro, died Thursday, July 2, 2015. He was a born in Houston, TX and raised in Maine. He was a son of the late Chester Birrell and Constance Allen. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Anne Birrell and a son, Tim C. Birrell. Mr. Birrell is survived by a daughter, Darlene Huddleston and her husband Philip of Murfreesboro; son, Michael Birrell of Elkhart, IN; daughter, Patricia Duke and her husband Jeffrey of Celina, OH and daughter, Linda Koscielny and her husband Michael of Bristol, IN; brothers, Michael Birrell and his wife Lorraine of ME, and Patrick Miele and his wife Vicky of FL; nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Mr. Birrell was a retired United States Air Force Senior Master Sargent and veteran of the Korean War. He retired in 1978 and during his twenty-six years of service to his country he served as a Meteorologist, Weather Instructor and Hurricane Hunter. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Ron Caldwell officiating.
