Constance Gifford Tomlinson age 92 of Murfreesboro, passed away Monday March 24, 2014. Born in Persia, she was the daughter of the late Burtus and Emma Campbell Gifford, Presbyterian Missionaries. She is also preceded in death by her husband Major Retired James H. Tomlinson, a son John Tomlinson, three sisters, and three brothers. Mrs. Tomlinson is survived by her children; sons; William "Bill" Tomlinson and his wife June of Madison, Alabama, James H. Tomlinson and his wife Kathy of The Villages, Florida, daughters Lola Widener and her husband Robert of Verona, Virginia, Susie Tomlinson of Murfreesboro, 14 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Tomlinson was a member of Walter Hill Baptist Church. Visitation will be Saturday beginning at 1:00pm until time of service at 3:00pm at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with her grandson Timothy Tomlinson officiating.
