Concetta Immacolata "Tina" Kessinger, age 80 of Murfreesboro, TN, passed away peacefully on Monday April 20, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on December 23rd, 1945 in Naples, Italy to the late Gennaro Comune, Francesca Dente Comune was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, and mother. She was known for her kindness, loving spirit, and unwavering devotion to her family. Tina was preceded in death by her parents and siblings: Salvatore Comune, Giovanni Comune, Tonino Comune, and Mario Comune.
In 1962, she married John W. Kessinger, and together they built a life filled with joy, raising 4 children. Tina moved to America in 1966, where she taught herself the English language by watching various American soap operas. She loved spending sunny days at the beach and pool with family and friends, playing slot machines at a casino, window shopping at the mall for hours, and family dinners on Sunday. She loved to dance and was the life of the party. In 1987, she started working at McDonalds and was a Team Leader for over 30 years, retiring in 2020.
Those left to honor her memory include her husband of 63 years, John W. Kessinger; children, Madge Bradford and husband Michael, Jim Kessinger, Mark Kessinger and wife Caryn, Monica Anderson and husband Tyler; grandchildren Jason Bradford and wife Christa, Jessica Bradford and husband Chris Sparks, Zack Kessinger and wife Erin, Jake Kessinger, Luke Kessinger, Kaily Kessinger and husband Dallin Smith, William Kessinger, Amelia Anderson, Leo Anderson, great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Noah, Natalie, Sophia, Anne-Marie; sisters, Anna Comune, Nunzia Comune.
Mrs. Kessinger was a member of the Catholic Church and expressed love for the Lord through her sacramental life and active faith. She was a faithful servant who, in her everyday life, showed kindness and love to all. We rejoice in the promise of eternal life.
