Colin McPherson went to be with his Lord Friday October 29, 2010 at the age of 90. He was a native of Aberdeen Scotland and was preceded in death by his first wife, Vera Jakes McPherson, parents, Robert and Jane Phillips McPherson, and a brother, Robert McPherson, Jr. Mr. McPherson attended Rockvale Church of God and was a long time member of Franklin Road Baptist Church where he devoted many long hours to the Churchs Bus Ministry calling on children and their families to attend church. He was retired from Cummings Sign Company in Murfreesboro and was later known as the Fuller Brush Man in Murfreesboro. He was proud of his 25 years of dedication to the Fuller Brush Company. He enjoyed many years calling on the people of Murfreesboro and surrounding towns to service them with their household cleaning needs. He is survived by his wife, Earlene McPherson; daughters, Sharon Adam and husband, Russell of Smyrna, Cindy Sienkiewicz and husband Ed of Canton GA; sister, Doris Louks of New Baltimore, MI; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; step-children, Mildred Farris and husband Raymond, Gary McDaniel and wife Evelyn; step-grandchildren, Christy Farris, Mark and Gary McDaniel, Jr. The family of Mr. McPherson would like to thank the staff at NHC of Murfreesboro for their kind and caring service during his lengthy stay, and also Caris Hospice for their staff that looked after and cared for his needs during the past few months. In Lieu of flowers memorials maybe made to the Family or Caris Hospice. Funeral service will be Monday at 11:00AM at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Pastor J. Morgan Davis officiating.
