Cody Joe
Baugus
October 6, 1991 – March 16, 2021
Cody Joe Baugus passed away at the age of 29 on Tuesday, March 16, 2021. He was a beloved son, father, brother, nephew, grandson, cousin, and friend to many.
He is survived by his children, Kylianne, Kenzleigh, Cameron, and Everly. His parents, Karen Regan (Ted Regan) and Billy Baugus Jr.. His sisters, Kayla Ferrick (Jonny Ferrick) and Kacie Baugus. Grandmothers, Geneva Baugus and Sandra Beaver. His aunts, Susan Brown and Roxanne Howard (Dennis Howard). His uncles, Will Baugus (Kristin Baugus) and Adam Baugus (Serena Baugus). He also leaves behind many cousins, friends, and family members.
Cody did not know a stranger and had a way of turning strangers into friends in an instant. From a young age he could woo any person he encountered. He had a way with words and an ability to bring people together. He would go to great lengths to get a smile out of every person around him with his silly crazy antics. He spent a lot of his time taking things apart and rebuilding them as far back as we all can remember, even taking the wheel off a grill to use as a bicycle tire. Moving the grill tire from the front to the back until he decided which one was the coolest. He was cool. He found a fascination and was calmed by the technicality of every aspect of anything that was mechanical.
Cody had the biggest heart and would do anything to help anyone and was always for the underdog. His children were the light in his eyes and he loved them with a love that was bigger than the world. Through any high or low, Cody's priority was making sure his kids were taken care of and loved deeply. He was the light of every room and made every occasion unforgettable. From a young age he loved to pick at and aggravate his sisters any way he possibly could. Also, from a young age and especially as an adult, he knew how to get whatever he wanted from his mother whenever he wanted it. He was not the most patient person. His art of persuasion was second to none and he just had a way to get anyone to do whatever he wanted. He loved riding four wheelers with his Dad and sitting around cracking jokes. He was obsessed with wheels and tires and changed them on his vehicles more than most change their underwear. Also, if you have ever lost a lighter, Cody probably has it.
