STAFF SGT. CLINTON ALLAN CARVER, age 47, of Smyrna died October 6, 2008. He was born in Burlington, Vermont and was the son of the late Leslie & L. Hatch Hill. He is survived by his wife, Abigail Carver; sons, Ethan J. Carver of Columbia, Tn., Joseph W. Carver of South Carolina and Craig Carver of South Carolina; daughters, Gabriel Carver of Columbia, Tn. and Brittany Carver of South Carolina, and five grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 9 am Tuesday, October 14, 2008 at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna. Burial will follow in the Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery with full military rites. Visitation with the family will be 4-8 pm Monday. Mr. Carver was a veteran of the United States Marines and was employed in maintenance and supply with the Tennessee National Guard in Smyrna.
