Cleo Church Edwards, age 84, of Murfreesboro, died on Friday, June 15, 2012. She was a native of Spring Hill, TN and the daughter of the late Elmer and Beulah Stinson Church. Funeral service will be 3:00pm Monday at Woodfin Funeral Chapel, Murfreesboro with Bro. David Young officiating. Burial to follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Preston Edwards, sons, David (Vickie) Edwards, Barry (Beth) Edwards, both of Murfreesboro, Steve (Esther) Edwards of Woodbury, Gary (Michelle) Edwards of Jonesboro, AR, sisters, Christine (W.A.) Hunter of Spring Hill, Mai McCrory of Charleston, SC, Adelle (Bill) Jenkins of Adams, TN, brothers, G.A. Church of Elkton, KY, Leon (Helen) Church of Antioch, TN, 15 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Edwards was a member of North Boulevard Church of Christ. Cleos greatest passion was her family. Creating memories with them was a daily adventure. She was a true Southern Christian lady known for her wonderful cooking, her generous spirit, and contagious laugh. She generously served her friends and her community with her sweet fellowship along with many a chess pie and chicken and dumplins. She was best known as Granna to her family.
