Claudia Hollandsworth Johnson, age 61, of Ethridge passed away peacefully in her home on Sunday, August 6, 2017 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Rutherford County to Elbert and Thelma Hollandsworth. She is preceded in death by her parents, her sister-Linda Gayle Mingle, her brother-Glenn Hollandsworth, brother-in-law Bobby Reed and sister-in-law Jeanette Hollandsworth.

Claudia is survived by her husband of 12 years, Randy Johnson of Ethridge; daughter Kimberly Atwood and husband Lance of St. Augustine, FL; son, Kyle Sandlin of Murfreesboro; grandchildren; Abby, Carter, Kaylee, Zoe and Marlowe; brothers, Larry Hollandsworth wife Rita, Gary Hollandsworth wife Carol; sisters: Shirley Thomas husband Gary, Brenda Armstrong husband Ronald; brother-in-Law, Larry Mingle wife Peggy; sister-in-Law, Peggy Hollandsworth; step-sons, Shane Johnson wife Khris of Gallatin and Andy Johnson of Columbia; step-grandchildren,  Zack wife Jessica, Greg, Kameron, Cooper & Emily; sister-in-Law: Melissa Walters husband Shawn;  brother-in-law, Jeff Johnson wife Cindy of Ethridge;  special friends, Betty & Bill Lee, Martha, Peggy and Sharon. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews & friends.

Claudia grew up in the Kittrell community and enjoyed square dancing and basketball. She graduated in 1973 from Riverdale High School, the first graduating class of the school. At the age of 17, she started work at State Farm and retired after 39 years. Claudia loved to dance, sing and was always smiling. Claudia never met a stranger and had many friends. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren. She was the perfect wife, mother, Granna, sister and friend. Claudia was a member of the Ethridge Church of Christ.

Visitation with the family will be Tuesday from 3-7pm at the Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1pm at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Burial will be at Coleman Cemetery; her nephews will serve as pallbearers. www.woodfinchapel.com
