Claude H. Ward passed away on Sunday March 26, 2017 at the Tennessee Veterans Nursing Home, at the age of 90. He was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Margaret Barrett Ward who died on April 9, 2016; his parents, John S.  and Eula Barrett Ward; brothers, Tom Lytle Ward, E.R. Ward and Henry "Hank" Ward; and by his sisters, Carrye Thomas, Ella McCrary, Roxie Bass, Johnnie Bucy, and Nellie Helton.

Mr. Ward is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Bonnie Ward, daughter and son-in-law, Claudia W. and Tim J. Durham, grandsons, Adam Durham and Jake Durham; granddaughters, Abby Ward Pollock (Jordan), Emily Ward Stout (Jacob); sister-in-law, Virginia Ward.

Mr. Ward was a veteran of World War II having served in occupied Germany. He was a retiree of TRW/Ross Gear in Lebanon, TN and was a 50 year member of the Old Hickory Masonic Lodge.

Mr. Ward was a loving husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and traveling.

Graveside service will be at 11:00AM Wednesday at Evergreen Cemetery. Dr. Jim Clardy will officiate. Visitation will be 4:00PM to 7:00PM Tuesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.
