Claude H. Hibdon, age 91 of Murfreesboro, TN, died Wednesday March 20, 2013. A native of Cannon County, he was the son of the late Willie B. and Nora Vella Bratcher Hibdon, and was also preceded in death by his first wife, Ruth Yearwood Hibdon and nine siblings. Mr. Hibdon is survived by his wife, Lura Alsup Hall Hibdon; sons, Dan Hibdon and his wife Mary, and Dwain Hibdon; step-daughters, Ann Sparks and Drulene Francis and her husband Jimmy all of Murfreesboro, TN; five grandchildren, one great-grandchild, seven step-grandchildren, and eight step- great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Saturday at Kingwood Heights Church of Christ, with Brothers Charles Mullins and Larry Swaim officiating. Entombment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens with family serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Brandon, Roy Alsup, and the Elders and Deacons of Kingwood Heights Church of Christ. Visitation will be Friday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Kingwood Heights Church of Christ, 115 E. MTCS Road, Murfreesboro, TN 37129. Mr. Hibdon was a member of the Church of Christ having served as a Deacon and Elder, and was a World War II veteran serving in the United States Marines.
