CLAUDE NELSON GADDY, age 86, of Murfreesboro, died Sunday, October 11, 2009. He was a native of Asheville, NC and the son of the late Nelson and Belle Moody Gaddy. He was also preceded in death by his son, Thomas Nelson Gaddy, sister, Irene Benson, and brother, Leslie Gaddy. Funeral service will be 2:00pm Wednesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Bro. Wayne Lankford will officiate. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. He is survived by his wife, Louise Lynch Gaddy, daughter, Cherie Gaddy Carroll of Murfreesboro, granddaughters, Emily (Andy) Carroll Sneed, Brittney (Tyler) Carroll England, and great grandson, Owen Thomas Sneed. Mr. Gaddy was a member of East Main Church of Christ and a US Air Force veteran. He was a 1941 graduate of Central High School and received his Masters Degree in Education from MTSU. He was the Coordinator of Rehabilitative Medicine at the Alvin C. York VA Medical Center until his retirement in 1985. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
