Clarence Boyd Rigsby, age 77, of Murfreesboro died September 14, 2009 at MTMC. He was a native of Coffee County and the son of the late Robert Raymond Rigsby Sr. and Lucille McAfee Rigsby. Funeral Services will be at 4:00 P.M. Thursday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Brother Keith Sims, Brother Barry Whitaker, and Brother Lynn Anderson will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Mr. Rigsby is survived by his wife of 51 years, Mercalene Duncan Rigsby, sons; Darrell Boyd (Tina) Rigsby and Brett (Melissa) Rigsby, all of Murfreesboro, daughter; Sharon (Ivan) Williams of Huntsville, Alabama, one brother, Bryce Rigsby of Shady Grove, TN., five grandchildren; Clint Williams, Lauren Williams Funderburg, Kyle Rigsby, Taylor and Grayson Rigsby, four great grandchildren; Whitney and Reid Tate, Sophia Williams and Wyatt Boyd Rigsby. He was preceded in death by four brothers; Billie, Robert Raymond Jr., Burl, and Benton Rigsby. Mr. Rigsby was a member of Shady Grove The Baptist Church. He was employed at Genesco for 44 years before his retirement and was a 32nd degree Mason. Pallbearers will be Ivan and Clint Williams, Darrell, Brett, Kyle and Grayson Rigsby, Reid Tate and Dirk Funderburg. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Walking Eagles Coffee Club at Reeves-Sain Drug Store.
