CLARA BELLE LAWRENCE STEELE KOPCHAK, age 93 of Smyrna, died Friday, March 26, 2010. She was a native of Rutherford County and the daughter of the late Andrew B. and Mattie B. Baker Lawrence. She was also preceded in death by first husband, Andrew William Steele, who died in 1955, and her second husband, George Kopchak, who died in 1980, son, Donald Ray Steele, and two sisters, Margery Lawrence and Marie Lawrence Peebles. Graveside services will 2:00pm Tuesday at Mapleview Cemetery. Pastor Megan Ritchie will officiate. Grandchildren will serve as pallbearers. She is survived by her sons, William B. Steele and M.C. Steele, both of Smyrna, daughter, Marjorie Ann Steele of Hartsville, sister, Virginia Thompson of Gladeville, seven grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren. Mrs. Kopchak was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Smyrna and was retired from Eckerd Drugs.
