Claire Jean Mobley, age 89, passed away peacefully on January 9, 2025.

Born on November 10, 1935, Claire was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend who touched the lives of all who knew her with her kindness and unwavering compassion.

Claire is survived by her devoted daughter, Pamela J. Deal, son-in-law Jeff Deal, three cherished grandsons, and twin great-granddaughters. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Phil V. Mobley, parents, Claire and Agnes Figley, sister Ginger Schwarz and her dear daughter, Kimberly Ann Mobley.

Claire devoted many years to her role in the Education Department at Middle Tennessee State University. She found great joy in her long service with the church choir and demonstrated immense compassion for animals, rescuing numerous dogs throughout her life.

A graveside service for the interment of her ashes at Evergreen Cemetery will be held on April 12, 2025 at 11:00 AM.
