Chuck May, age 75 of Murfreesboro, died Tuesday at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital. He was a native of Pike County, Kentucky and one of sixteen children born to the late William Jefferson and Lenora May. Mr. May is survived by his wife of 48 years Rosalee May; a son Nick May of Murfreesboro; daughters, June Grubb of Grayson, KY, Cynthia May and Lisa Bailey both of Murfreesboro; grandsons, Earl May, Thomas John Bowen, and Wyatt Bailey; a granddaughter Matalyn Bailey; brothers Willis May of Tampa, FL and Mayo May of Charlotte, NC; sisters Dolly Zappolo of Allen, TX and Sadie Estep of Self, KY. Mr. May was a United States Marine Corps veteran and served during the Korean War. He also had worked at First United Methodist Church of Murfreesboro. Memorial services will be held at a later date.
